Fall Playlist // Molly

Here at TSP we are passionate about plenty of things. Our clothes, hair, etc. However, one of the things we are passionate about that is closer to morally correct is music. We have a very broad spectrum of taste, so you won’t like everyones picks but I guarantee your taste will vibe with someone.

Here's a sampling of what I've been listening to this fall. Be forewarned.  I hate rap, top 40’s, and country. Not interested? Don’t care.

Listen to all of these songs in my TSP Fall Playlist on Spotify.  You can also see what other music I’ve been listening to lately by checking out all my playlists.

Xoxo,
Molly

Strawberry Fields

Play a game with me….

Imagine you’re alone walking in a field… and in the distance you see a strawberry field full of tons of ripe strawberries.

1)How tall is the fence surrounding the field?
You walk around the field for a bit and then you realize you HAVE to try some of the strawberries.

2)How many do you eat?

After filling yourself up on some delish berries you try to maneuver your way out of the field, but run into the farmer who is PISSED you just nommed on his strawberries.

3)How do you react? Remorseful, or no?
GAME OVER….now let’s see how your answers to the previous questions correlate to your life…

#1) Depending on how high you thought the fence was is equivalent to how easy/hard it is for you to get into bed.

#2) How many sexual partners you want
#3) How you feel about the person who you just had sex with.
CONGRATULATIONS! You just went on my second and FINAL Tinder date with me. Not to mention homeboy was dead serious during this entire convo. The date lasted 25 minutes. The first 5 minutes consisted of him groping my necklace before he sparked up the riveting conversation we just had above. I hope you all feel as violated and uncomfortable as I did. CHEERS!

Something {Scary}

No, I'm not trying out my 2013 Halloween costume as Edward {Foil} Hands.  I'm simply trying to remove my Gel Nail Polish.  Have you ever tried that at home?  It's no easy task!  I've always had them removed at a nail salon, but this time I thought I would be a thrifty chick by purchasing a DIY solution at Walgreens.

The directions, how I interpreted them at least, seemed simple!  Buff the top of the polish to break the top coat seal, saturate a cotton pad with the purchased solution, and then wrap the pads around your nails tightly with foil.

The reality? It is nearly impossible to wrap your second hand when you have already wrapped the first hand.   If you can get this far, you must leave them on for 15 minutes!  This is like an eternity for a girl who needs to be productive on a Wednesday night!  Before you start this process my advice would be to eat, find something good on the boob tube, and grab a glass of something tasty to sip on.  Or skip their directions and soak your nails in the solution for a few minutes until you can scrape and buff it off.  This is what I eventually resorted to.

My saving grace during this debacle?  Schlafly Pumpkin Ale!   I have tasted around a dozen different pumpkin style brews and NONE of them come close to the Schlafly.  Schlafly achieves the most rich and decadent mouthfeel  without being too unctuous.  Wonderful autumn spice aromas and flavors make you feel all warm and fuzzy from head to toe!  It's the perfect Fall treat!  Schlafly is a brewery based in St. Louis and their Pumpkin Ale sells out very quickly upon release, so if you can get your hands on some, I'd highly suggest it!

Cheers,
Whitney

Cauliflower Crust Buffalo Chicken Pizza

How many recipes have we all pinned and never made? My cook-to-pin ratio is somewhere around 2%, so this week I decided to make something that has interested me for a long time: cauliflower crust pizza.

I’ve been trying to incorporate more veggies in my diet, which has been a real struggle. I figured tricking my taste buds with cauliflower hidden under mass quantities of cheese was worth a try. Cheese really does make everything better, no?

Before you get out your recipe card and pen, I must tell you that a great number of my flaws can be showcased in a Home-Ec curriculum. This is probably because I skipped that class too many times to count in middle school. Sorry Mom. When you're trying to get the cool girls to like you, skipping class to hang out in the locker room gets you on the fast track to popularity quicker than learning Martha Stewart skills.

Let’s just say I mistook wax paper for parchment paper and nearly started a fire in the oven. {Not an uncommon occurrence, the fire alarm goes off at least once every four times I use the oven.} There was a five minute pause in cooking time so I could open all the windows, swear a lot, and frantically wave my arms as smoke from the charred wax paper filled the house. Once the situation was somewhat under control, I proceeded to forego my no-drinking-on-Mondays rule.

Even with the near-fire, this pizza ended up delicious. I honestly would not be able to tell the crust was made out of super-healthy cauliflower had I not grated the veggie myself.

Ingredients:
1/2 head cauliflower {grated}
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
1 egg {lightly beaten}
1/4 tsp garlic
1/2 cup Frank's Buffalo sauce
3/4 cup chicken {shredded}
blue cheese to taste

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Grate the cauliflower and place in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 6 minutes or until cauliflower is soft, stirring every 2 minutes.

Mix the egg, cauliflower, garlic, and one cup of the mozzarella cheese. Spread on to a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. Use olive oil or cooking spray to ensure the crust doesn't stick.

everything was going so well....
Bake crust for 15 minutes. Mix chicken, the rest of the mozzarella, and blue cheese in a bowl.

Post-fire. Notice the paper is gone.

Once the crust is a light brown, remove from oven and let sit for 5-10 minutes for cauliflower to harden. Drizzle Frank's hot sauce to taste.

Top the crust with the chicken and cheese mixture, and stick back in the oven for 6-8 minutes, until cheese is bubbly.

Cut into slices with a pizza cutter, and enjoy!

Beauty Obsession {BB Cream}

I'm not going to lie, I don't have a clue what BB Creams or CC Creams are.  I suppose this would be a good time to research it? Ok give me a second...

What?! My mind is blown. I realize just buying a BB Cream already puts me way behind the curve. I knew I could get a CC Cream and decided not to but there's going to be a DD Cream soon? I need to get on this.

So the main difference I found from Fashionista was that CC Creams usually help correct your skin tone and redness as well as everything else BB Creams do {tinted moisturizer, SPF, anti-oxidants}.  This is annoying, I want help with my skin tone. They are also traditionally lighter than BB Creams. Most reviews I saw said there isn't a major difference between BB and CC, the biggest differences being within brands. I'm not even going to touch DD Creams yet....

Long story short I started using this Aveeno BB Cream while in a New York drugstore with a co-worker/friend. I needed a new daily moisturizer and she suggested getting one. I have recently become pretty loyal to Aveeno except for one of my night creams {yes I have more than one} so I picked up this one. I have to tell you my skin does look better! Maybe it's because I'm wearing tinted moisturizer instead of foundation but whatever the reason I like it. I'm hooked!

I'm also a little new to Drugstore.com. I live pretty close to a drugstore but when do you ever see your favorite shampoo on sale anywhere? And when can you side by side compare? Online shopping is making me lazy but I like it... bring it on Drugstore.com.

xoxo,
Molly
